Welcome to the Faroe Islands! Around 300 players from 37 nations are coming to Við Tjarnir for the 24th WDF Europe Cup — the first held in the Nordic region since 2008. This page has what players and team officials need for the week.

Getting here
Við Tjarnir is in Hoyvík, on the north side of Tórshavn. Faroese addresses are informal — the easiest way to find us is the map link below or asking any taxi driver for “Við Tjarnir”.
From Vágar Airport
- Bus 300 runs between the airport and Tórshavn several times a day and takes about 55 minutes. Timetable: ssl.fo.
- Taxi from the airport takes about 45 minutes. Book ahead for groups.
- Rental car is available at the airport. Some routes use subsea tunnels that charge a toll, usually billed afterwards via your rental company.
Around Tórshavn
- The red city buses (Bussleiðin) are free.
- A taxi from central Tórshavn to Við Tjarnir takes around 10 minutes.
- Free parking at the venue.

- Card payment everywhere in the venue.

Good to know
Money
The currency is the Faroese króna, which is equal in value to the Danish krone — Danish notes and coins work everywhere. Cards are accepted almost everywhere, including in the venue.
Weather
Early October is usually around 8–10 °C, windy and often wet, and it can change quickly. Bring a waterproof jacket.
Time and power
Local time is UTC+1 (the same as the UK). Sockets are the standard European two-pin type, 230 V.
Emergencies
Call 112 for police, fire or ambulance. The National Hospital (Landssjúkrahúsið) is in central Tórshavn.
Things to do in Tórshavn
The old town Tinganes, the harbour and the city centre are a short taxi or free bus ride away. See visitfaroeislands.com for ideas.
Finals Day tickets — 3 October
Bring your family, friends and teammates to watch the Open and Women’s finals live on the main stage. Try boards and equipment in the darts shop and take part in competitions during the day.
